{"id":46249,"date":"2024-04-18T12:12:13","date_gmt":"2024-04-18T10:12:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.enac.gov.it\/faq\/in-detail-what-types-of-assistance-should-be-provided-by-the-airport-managing-body-to-a-disabled-or-reduced-mobility-passenger\/"},"modified":"2024-05-08T09:19:59","modified_gmt":"2024-05-08T07:19:59","slug":"in-detail-what-types-of-assistance-should-be-provided-by-the-airport-managing-body-to-a-disabled-or-reduced-mobility-passenger","status":"publish","type":"faq","link":"https:\/\/www.enac.gov.it\/en\/faq\/in-detail-what-types-of-assistance-should-be-provided-by-the-airport-managing-body-to-a-disabled-or-reduced-mobility-passenger\/","title":{"rendered":"In detail, what types of assistance should be provided by the airport managing body to a disabled or reduced mobility passenger?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The airport managing body must provide PRMs, free of charge, with the assistance they need to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>communicate their arrival at an airport and request assistance at the designated points inside and outside the terminal buildings<\/li>\n<li>move from a designated point to the check-in desk<\/li>\n<li>check in and register baggage<\/li>\n<li>proceed from the check-in desk to the aircraft, completing emigration, customs and security procedures<\/li>\n<li>board the aircraft, with the aid of lifts, wheelchairs or other necessary specific assistance<\/li>\n<li>proceed from the aircraft door to their seats<\/li>\n<li>stow and retrieve baggage on the aircraft<\/li>\n<li>proceed from their seats to the aircraft door<\/li>\n<li>disembark from the aircraft, with the aid of lifts, wheelchairs or other necessary specific assistance<\/li>\n<li>proceed from the aircraft to the baggage hall and retrieve baggage, completing immigration and customs procedures<\/li>\n<li>proceed from the baggage hall to a designated point<\/li>\n<li>reach connecting flights when in transit, with assistance on the air and land sides and within and between terminals as needed<\/li>\n<li>move to the toilet facilities if required<\/li>\n<li>be assisted at the airport, upon request, by their accompanying person for boarding and disembarking<\/li>\n<li>receive, subject to advance notice of 48 hours, ground handling of all necessary mobility equipment<\/li>\n<li>receive ground handling of recognised assistance dogs, where appropriate<\/li>\n<li>have access to flight information<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In addition, the airport managing body must establish and publish quality standards for assistance, with the exception of commercial airports with an annual passenger throughput of less than 150 000.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":0,"parent":0,"template":"","argomento-faq":[456],"class_list":["post-46249","faq","type-faq","status-publish","hentry","argomento-faq-rights-of-persons-with-reduced-mobility-prms"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v25.1 - https:\/\/yoast.com\/wordpress\/plugins\/seo\/ -->\n<title>In detail, what types of assistance should be provided by the airport managing body to a disabled or reduced mobility passenger?
