We inform that, since June 20, 2022, pilots residing in Europe who intend to fly in the European territory in NON-COMMERCIAL operations, with N (NOVEMBER) registered aircraft, shall hold a valid EASA licence and comply with all the requirements established by the FAA.<\/strong><\/p>\n

BILATERAL AVIATION SAFETY AGREEMENT (BASA) between the USA
\nand the European Union.<\/strong><\/p>\n

On May 18, 2021, the Bilateral Aviation Safety Agreement (BASA) signed
\nbetween the United States of America and the European Union, entered into force. The EFTA States (Iceland, Norway, Liechtenstein and Switzerland) are not parties to the Agreement.
\nThe Agreement applies also to the domain of pilot licences and to the holders of aeronautical certificates issued by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) (the civil aviation authority in USA), in accordance with the\u00a0\u201cTitle 14 of the Code of Federal Regulations (14 CFR) part 61\u201d<\/strong>. The corresponding certificates issued in accordance with Regulation EU 1178\/2011 and subsequent amendments can be obtained in a simpler way than the provisions of the Regulation EU 2020\/723, which amended Regulation EU 1178\/2011 by deleting Annex III.
\nThe Agreement applies to aeroplanes only and, in particular, to the following certificates:<\/p>\n

1) PPL (A) licence
\n2) SEP (L) rating
\n3) MEP (L) rating<\/strong><\/p>\n

4) NIGHT RATING
\n5) IR SE SP rating
\n6) IR ME SP rating<\/strong><\/p>\n

The conversion of suc\u00a0certificates and ratings is therefore obtained by
\nfollowing the provisions of the technical annex\u00a0\u201cTECHNICAL IMPLEMENTATION PROCEDURES\u201d LICENSING TIP-L\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0reported in the link below.<\/p>\n

The provisions of the Agreement allow the holders of certificates issued in
\naccordance with Part-FCL to obtain the same certificates issued by the FAA.<\/p>\n
