As required by Article 13 of Regulation (EU) 376/2014, ENAC publishes its annual Safety Review, presenting the results of the analysis of safety data collected through reporting systems. In particular, it analyses Safety Performance Indicators (SPIs), which measure the level of safety performance achieved by Italian civil aviation.

Since 2021, the ENAC Safety Review has been made available online as a web portal (Safety Portal). This allows easier consultation of the content, including on mobile devices, and enables continuous updates. The Safety Review can be enriched whenever new analyses become available, supporting the ongoing improvement of aviation safety levels.

Starting from the 2023 edition, in addition to SPI trends, the Review also analyses reports related to dangerous goods, unruly passengers, unreliable airspeed events, and clear air turbulence.
